We talk about a transitive
verb when there is no other complement
accompanying the verb (and with complement I mean an object complement) if we have this particular structure then we are
talking about an intransitive verb. Transitive verbs do not require an object
complement. Here are some examples of intransitive verbs: go, fall, die, and sleep. This lead us to another sentence
structure: S (subject) + V (verb). To convey a wider meaning we can
add more elements like adverbials which are optional elements.
